Ultima Pietra

Located in the heart of Southern Tuscany, just outside the charming hilltop hamlet of Trequanda, Ultima Pietra is situated at 500 meters above sea level. Unlike neighboring regions, this is not a site for Sangiovese: Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon were better suited and have settled and acclimatized, producing truly fine wines that express their origin. When the land was acquired in 2015, the deep commitment from the outset was to restore the land, it via organic farming, utilizing biodynamic principles and plant a small vineyard with the capacity for great things. Ultima Pietra is just 3.2 hectares: every vine is known, every section of soil is understood, every minute detail has been considered—precision viticulture at the highest level. These immaculately cared for vineyards are teeming with biodiversity, enhancing the vitality of the land and quality of the wines. The goal is to create stunning wines that reflect the characteristics of our terroir.
