The classic Abruzzi cured meats are accompanied by rustic pizzas or fried bread, a recipe from the poor peasant tradition and delicious gorgonzola bundles. The strong pots are lump or lamb chops in white varieties with potato cream or wild boar sauce. Spoon lovers can taste the classic soup with potatoes, lentils and vegetables or that of the shepherd with scarola, meatballs, scamorza bread croutons, all watered with a warm broth of meat. The second-hand paper does not push beyond the traditional lamb, grilled or fried, scamorze or sausages.
