Natural Arch
About
The Natural Arch (Arco Naturale) is one of Capri’s most iconic landmarks, perched on a cliff above the sparkling Tyrrhenian Sea. A scenic walk that takes roughly 90 minutes – the Pizzolungo trail – leads visitors from the historic Via Matermania past the ancient Grotta di Matermania, past gardens and villas, to the dramatic arch and a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Faraglioni. The route is well‑marked, free of charge, and offers a blend of natural beauty, geological intrigue and a touch of Capri’s vibrant promenade culture. Many travelers enjoy the walk as part of a boat tour, or simply to enjoy the sea breeze and the sweeping inner views of the island’s rugged coast.
