About

The restaurant Knappenstube is located directly inside the South Tyrolean Mining Museum in the valley of Ridanna in South Tyrol. It was built in 1993 and has a panoramic terrace. Chef and owner Christian Rainer is a passionate chef, who prefers using fresh ingredients. At lunch and dinner, traditional dishes as well as international ones are served. In addition to delicious meals, here the guests can also have a home-made cake or an ice cream. At the restaurant, different events take place. Some examples are the fish and asparagus week, the steak week, or the ravioli days. On request, menus for festivities with smaller or larger groups are created. Thanks to its position right next to the Mining Museum, a visit at the museum can easily be combined with a delicious lunch or dinner. Furthermore, the restaurant is a great starting point for many hikes.
