About

The Val Dè Varri Caves, explored for the first time in 1928, were opened to the public in 2003. They have an underground development of 1800 meters covered almost entirely by water. The cave has two galleries: 1) the active left one still crossed by water, 2) the right one descends parallel, to join the active branch one hundred meters further on, now fossil for the first stretch up to the confluence hall. The confluence is characterized by orthogonal chambers to each other arranged on various levels completely enriched by particular concretionary effects: stalactites, stalagmites, veils, columns, pillars, straws and the very rare "leopard's spot". Both tunnels have been equipped for tourism purposes with comfortable, wide and safe metal paths which, having a grating walking surface, therefore transparent, give the pleasant impression of "flying over" the roughness of the floor.
