Museo Etnografico Galluras "La casa della Femina Agabbadora"
About
The Galluras Museum is located in a typical house of the Gallura area, with its exposed granite façade and wooden ceilings perfectly restored. It is very faithful to the original reconstruction of a traditional Gallurian house, with its rooms dedicated to the characteristic and traditional activities and domestic environment: the cellar, the store-room, the courtyard, the dining room, the kitchen, the bedroom, the wool and cork processing rooms. The rooms have been set up with great attention to details, which makes the past seem alive today. There are more than 7,000 objects preserved in the museum dating from the 15th century to the first half of the 20th century. Included among them is the most precious piece in oleaster, wood from an olive tree -- the only recognized model in the world of the Femina Agabbadora’s hammer.
