In 2005, proprietress Sabrina Bonino decided to leave her professional career inRome and live in direct contact with nature on the green hills of the beautifulItalian countryside. The farmhouse's environment is natural, organic, and designed for earthycomfort, and its 6 hectares includes a vineyard, olive and fruit trees. Aninformal garden, where old and modern roses and aromatic plants such as lavender,rosemary, thyme, creates the perfect setting for dining under a charming outdoorgazebo. When it's warm, breakfast is alfresco - otherwise, guests are welcome toenjoy meals in a cozy solarium that also houses samples of Sabrina's homemadeorganic preserves, cured olives, savories and herbal liqouors. Walks on and nearbythe propriety are both relaxing and perfect for photography. Evenings invitewandering the surrounding countryside, but the dramatic Italian sunset can alsoenjoyed at home on the farm, enjoying a glass of homemade wine, in various parts ofVilla Surya's garden. Surya means sun in Sanskrit. Located on the border with Lazio and Umbria, Villa Surya is nestled just outside thesmall village of Magliano Sabina. Only 30 miles from Rome, the Villa Surya farmalso boasts a strategic location to other renown areas and antique villages such asViterbo, Spoleto, Narni, Orvieto, Civita Castellana, and Siena - all available foreasy day trips by car. The farm house is built with marble, wood,finishedterra-cotta brick, and decorated with charming trompe l'oeil hand painted by theowners.
