Albergo Diffuso Il Mandorlo is a multi-building hotel ("diffuso" literally means "spread-out") conceived to have its rooms scattered in existing converted buildings of the historical centre, completely restored with traditional materials (stone, wood, bricks for the exterior), respecting the typical characteristics of the Sardinian architecture. It is situated in Baressa, a little village located in the beautiful area of Marmilla, in the heart of Sardinia. The building reproduces Sardinian rural architecture's typical features, through the reconditioning of ruins from the XIX Century. The main building hosts a wide rest hall for the breakfast buffet, a bookcase corner and bar lounge area. Our guests are welcome to enjoy the common areas of the courtyard, the loggiato on the ground floor and the terrace on the first floor to relax, read and socialize. The Hotel is composed of 10 rooms and 2 independent apartments. The 8 rooms at the main building have private bathroom, air conditioning and led TV, and its furniture and interior decorations are embellished with refined details in the style of Sardinian traditional handcraft. Moreover The Typical House named "Casa Cossu", which is located nearby the main building, has 2 additional rooms and 2 independent and fully equipped apartments. The hotel is located in a strategic position, in a very short distance from the Giara Natural Park, the nuraghe Su Nuraxi (acknowledged as UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Sardinia Miniature Park and the Michelin-starred restaurant "S'Apposentu".
