Parco Naturale dei Laghi di Avigliana
About
The Parco Naturale dei Laghi di Avigliana is a protected natural area in the Piedmont region of Italy, established in 1980. Spanning 409 hectares, the park encompasses three distinct biotopes: two serene lakes (Lake Piccolo and Lake Grande), rolling moraine hills, and the swamplands of the Mareschi marsh. Rich in flora and fauna, the park offers excellent bird‑watching opportunities, scenic walking trails, and educational displays that highlight the geological and ecological history of the Susa Valley. Open to the public free of charge, it welcomes visitors year‑round, providing well‑maintained paths, accessible facilities, and a visitor centre that hosts guided tours and environmental outreach programs.
