The gallery was opened in 1989 by Alberto Peola; it shows works by contemporary emerging and established artists from Italy and abroad. The gallery places a firm emphasis on new artistic trends which explore personal narrative research through different expressive means, ranging from painting to photography and video installations. In 2020 the Alberto Peola Arte Contemporanea gallery is enriched by the entry into society of Francesca Simondi and changes its name, becoming PEOLA SIMONDI.
