On the right side of the mouth of the Isonzo there is a tongue of earth covered with a thick cane: the Dog. We are right in the heart of the Isonzo's Nature Reserve, in a fairly young area created by the solid springs of the river, bathed by the fresh water of the Soča to the north and the salty water of the sea to the south.
