"Tista gostilna, tam na stari cesti za morje." Gostilna na Ravni is a traditional Slovenian restaurant operating since 1880. This "furmanska gostilna" waggoners inn, was one of many in Senožeče located on the busy road connecting Trieste and Vienna. Today it serves visitors moving in the same direction, but at a different speed. It is a place where time is perceived differently, the food is still simple, ingredients are local, gnocchi handmade and bread fresh out the oven.
