Belvedere was originally a tavern when it opened its doors back in 1865. Now it's a stylish hotel, with stunning views over the banks of Lake Maggiore in the peaceful setting of Ranco, a tiny gem of a town on the Lombard side of the lake. The Belvedere is run by the Merzagora family who take great care to provide a friendly service and actively ensure that guests enjoy the perfect stay. At the Belvedere you will find all the comforts and services you expect from a bike hotel and also the exclusive opportunity to master the secrets and techniques of fishing on the lake. And, If you are here on business, we have a fully-equipped convention room that can accommodate up to 40 people. The location offers the ideal starting point for your trips on Lake Maggiore and for exploring the magnificent surrounding countryside, from the Alps and the verdant hills steeped in history and culture to the characteristic lakeside villages and famous, picturesque Borromean islands. The Belvedere is also a celebrated restaurant. Our dishes have a local flavour and we try to offer our guests a ‘taste of the lakes’ complemented by seasonal fare. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming in the winter, while dining on the terrace with panoramic views over the lake guarantees a unique, absolutely magical experience in the summer.
