About

the site preserves numerous and important archaeological remains dating back to about two thousand years ago, when the Roman city of Histonium stood on the hill where today Vasto is located. Since 2017, the section of Italia Nostra del Vastese has continued scientific research on the site in collaboration with the Parsifal Cooperative Society of Vasto and organizes guided excursions.
