The church of Santa Sofia in Pedemonte has documented origins between the 831 and the 845. Inside there are frescoes dated between the late fourteenth and early fifteenth century. After the damage caused by the recent earthquakes in 2012, the church is waiting for raising funds and donations for the necessary restoration. The building is partially unusable and can be visited by appointment.
