This lovely holiday home 'ANTICO BORGO', in Versilia is located in the plain, at the edge of the villages of Ripa and Pozzi, in a small hamlet. Of ancient origins, this farmhouse is surrounded by age-old olive groves and is located just 5 minutes from the beaches of Forte dei Marmi and a few kilometers from the silence of the Apuan Alps. An enviable position, which offers a lot to both sea and mountain lovers, allowing you to make very different experiences during the same holiday! This old farmhouse, originally an 18th century summer retreat for nuns from Lucca, has recently been restored by the owners who live in a flat of the property, ready to offer you a warm welcome and to provide you with information and suggestions on how to enjoy at the best your stay at Antico Borgo, making it unforgettable. Even today, the owners produce their own extra virgin olive oil, their jam, cultivate their herbs, fruits and vegetables, trying to keep family traditions alive. ANTICO BORGO retains a charm of the past, but at the same time offers all the modern comforts necessary for an unforgettable holiday. The farmhouse, built in stone, offers, with its original walls, an excellent insulation both from heat and cold, maintaining the right temperature in all seasons. 3 holiday accomodations belong to the property 'Antico Borgo', each with its own charm: In the main building: The Flat 'ANTICHE TRAVI' (4pp) with a special atmosphere of "past times" The Flat 'ALPI APUANE' (4pp) with a stunning view on the Apuan Alps The lovely Maison d'Amis. (2pp/3pp) in the garden, with its private terrace. An extra person can be welcomed in all the apartments. All windows of the accomodations are equipped with protection against insects. The 2 flats have got the AC. Our delightful setting is a perfect base for a wide range of attractions or for just enjoying those long summer evenings relaxing in our own secluded place.. =========================================AANTICHE TRAVI The beautiful apartment "Antiche Travi" offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere typical of old houses, thanks to nice pieces of forniture, to the old beams, to terracotta and wooden floors. Every detail has been thought by the hosts, who have a passion for antiques and objects of the past. The apartment of 100sqmt (4pp) is a duplex: on the first floor, a large built-in kitchen (fully equipped with dishwasher), with a stone top covering the working surface and a bright dining area, the living-room with an important fireplace and a beautiful staircase made of an old marble, extracted from the Apuan Alps. A study area is part of the same room. The staircase leads to the upper floor, where there is a very wide double bedroom with two windows overlooking the ancient olive groves (where you can add a cot or a 5th bed on request) and a cosy twin bedded room with a big ancient wardrobe.. The elegant and spacious bathroom has a tub-bath and a large walk-in shower. There is also a separated laundry room. A useful utility room complete the comfort of the flat "Antiche Travi", which, with that 'typical atmosphere” of the past, will offer you a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The property, which the dependance belongs to, is surrounded by a large garden and olive grove (3000sqmt), shared with the owners, fitted out with a barbeque. A large patio, with ancient wooden beams, is also available for the guests, where other tables offer the possibility of eating outdoors even on less beautiful days. Our charming farmhouse is a perfect base for a wide range of naturalistic, artistic and entertainment attractions, but it is also the right place to enjoy moments of relaxation in all seasons, offering ever-changing colors and fragrances. Nice during the long summer evenings have a rest drinking a good glass of wine in the large garden, surrounded by flowers and aromatic herbs, fruit trees and ancient olive trees, enjoying the sight of the Alps at sunset! But also drinking a good coffee in the colorful and mild autumn days! But the farmhouse is appreciated all year round, because in every season there are very good reasons to visit Versilia.
