Palace Hotel Vieste is in the town centre of Vieste, an administrative centre in the Gargano. Historians identify the town with the ancient Apeneste where the ruins of Merinum, another renown centre of the Dauni, are visible along the road to the Sanctuary of Saint Mary of Merino.
