About

Vērmane Garden, Riga’s oldest public garden, spans roughly five hectares of lush greenery and historical charm. Established in 1814 as Wöhrmann Park, it originally boasted a rose garden, a restaurant, and a granite obelisk memorial to Anna Wöhrmann, later rebuilt in 2000. Over the years the garden has expanded to feature exotic trees, neatly arranged flower parterres, and a tranquil 18th‑century fountain. Today visitors can stroll through gardens, admire historic monuments, and enjoy a peaceful oasis right in the heart of the city.
