A legend tells of blue cows that have come out of the sea. Tales about these creatures originate in a distant past like the secrets of the Latvian kitchen. Just like Latvian legends have become more and more florid as centuries pass, the traditions of preparing and serving food have also changed with the flow of time. Traditional flavours refined and improved over time are now a source of enjoyment. At the restaurant “Zilā Govs” (The Blue Cow), the past is intertwined with the contemporary. Customers have an opportunity to sample and enjoy unhurriedly the modern Latvian kitchen which combines the best that the Baltic region, local producers, and farmers have to offer.
