About

Our hikers' friendly hut is located on the E11 Baltic Forest trail in the small ethnographic village Žiogeliai. We welcome hikers, bikers and other travellers. In the lovely forest of Dzūkija National Park, just a few hundred metres from the river Nemunas it is a place to meet and slowly explore local nature and culture. Perfect stay on the hiking or biking way from Merkinė to Druskininkai or even further - E11 European long distance trail can lead you both to Poland and Latvia and more. Hütte Žiogeliai offers a cosy cabin with four sleeping places. If necessary, we can deliver another folding bed. It is also possible to stay with a tent. In the hut you will find a kitchenette with a fridge and all the necessary utensils and basics such as salt and coffee, a dining table and a small library. Next to it - a comfortable gazebo, a hot shower and an outdoor toilet. In addition, our homestead is home to a painting studio, enamel workshops, culinary education and place for events.
