About

The present day Pakutuvenai church was built between 1941 and 1943 on the initiative of the Plunge parish priest, Prelate P. Pukis. It was consecrated on the 26th of September 1943 by the Telsiai Diocesan Bishop V. Borisevicius. The church has the characteristics of Classicism and is rectangular, with a tower and a turret. At first three altars were installed, but only one presently remains.
