The Old Crafts Workshop (“live museum”) is interesting even without the working craftsmen: tools and wares are exhibited so that you can see the work process. History of Vilnius city craftsmanship is presented in the workshop dating back to the times of Grand Duke Gediminas, who invited craftsmen from all over Europe. It is a great place to feel the history of old Vilnius and take part of it with you. Baltic, ethnographic and contemporary crafts are represented here as well. You will find these workshops: bookbinding, paper making and paper marbling, patchwork, spinning, weaving, basket weaving, bone work, leather processing, stained-glass and glass bead making, Shadow Theater. We offer educational craft classes and training, tours, expositions-sales of unique reconstructions and ethno-style souvenirs made by Lithuanian craftsmen.
