Bir Mula Heritage Museum
About
An independent social history museum located in a medieval building in Malta's historic port: Bormla. The house witnesses the evolution of Maltese houses for three thousand years. Evidence discovered at the location confirms the presence of human activity since the Paleolithic period. From a modest farmhouse of Classical Antiquity, the house was transformed into a palazzino by the end of the 16th century, following renovations in the early Arab era. The building's history spans significant periods in Maltese and Mediterranean history. The displays feature a range of interesting items from the everyday lives of previous generations and objects discovered on the premises. The museum offers a range of indoor and outdoor cultural activities, as well as educational-entertainment options such as Ghost Walks, Mystery and History walks of Bormla and surrounding areas.
