• Il-Barrag Farmhouse B&B provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture of Gozo • The Historic building is 400 years old dating back just after the end of the Great Siege of Malta. • It is a showcase of authentic Gozitan architecture, with wall erected by hand-cut limestone and cobblestone, and arches & timbers supports flagstones. No modern concrete or whatsoever…. • Featured modern en-suite bathrooms, made from wood and sheer curtain, embellish the local atmosphere. • The B&B is run by native young Gozitans which know every corner of the island, traditions, and customs. • Seasonal vegetables, local herbs and citrus fruit is farmed in the Farmhouse’s Garden and used in traditional dishes at the Bed & Breakfast. • A warm breakfast is served in the morning, with a touch of traditional food like “pastizzi”, and local sweets like “honey rings” for the curious ones. A continental breakfast will also be available for the timid ones. Meals are served around a large table providing a warm family atmosphere. One can enjoy breakfast/dinner in the antique patterned court yard and garden. • The traditional farmhouse is located in a quiet neighborhood, providing a relaxing atmosphere whilst very close to the center of the hilltop village. Here one can experience the local culture & food. • From Il-Barrag Farmhouse one can easily visit places of interest, beaches, museum, Gozo natural gems like caves, belvederes & botanic garden, bars and restaurants; by walk, car or public transport. • Street parking is always available for free.
