National Stadium Ta' Qali
About
Built in 1980, with a capacity of almost 17,000 spectators, the National Stadium of Ta’ Qali is the home of the Maltese National Team and Malta FA. In this arena, the Maltese National team goes toe to toe with other national teams. Along with other stadia around the Maltese islands, the National Stadium plays host to games from Malta’s top football competitions, the Malta Premier League and the FA Trophy along with the European club competitions Maltese teams feature in. When Malta hosted the UEFA u-17 Championship finals, the National Stadium was the venue for the final, played on 21st May 2014. Within the principal stand of the stadium, the Millenium Stand, one can visit the Malta Museum of Football to learn more about the Beautiful Game here in Malta, the Merchandise Shop of the Malta FA where one can buy official merchandise of the Maltese National team and grab a refreshment whilst enjoying the view of the stadium from the Trophies Lounge.
