Japanese cuisine is a ritual in itself – a celebration of time-honoured traditions, fresh ingredients and charming hospitality. Zen features a wide selection of speciality and delicacies including miso soup, nigirizushi, makimono, usuzukuri, sashimi, tempura, as well as seafood and wagyu-beef traditionally cooked on our Teppanyaki table. Our team consists of highly skilled Japanese native chefs, known to spend years perfecting individual cooking techniques. It can take up to ten years to become a Sushi chef, also known as an 'itamae'. Their renowned masterful knife skills allow them to create delicate plates. Our cuisine is characterised by originality, variety and the "umami" flavour typical for Japan. Our ultimate mission is to bring authentic Japanese food and authentic Japanese culture to the island, creating a restaurant atmosphere that will invite you on a culinary journey for the duration of your stay.
