Welcome to Hostel Hangout in Bar, Montenegro! Opened in 2021, our hostel offers a friendly and comfortable environment for your trip in the Balkans. Whether you’re stopping over on your way to your next destination or are here to discover all Bar has to offer (like Pomegranate wine, hikes + beaches) you will find our space cosy and inviting. Bonus! From the bus or train station it takes less than 10 minutes to walk to the hostel. We also have free parking on the property. The hostel was designed for a traveller, while keeping the simplicity of a Montenegrin home. Each dorm room has a maximum of 6 people, with individual storage lockers, white linens, towels, reliable Wi-Fi, and air conditioning all included in the price. Our fully equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing meals and the common area is spacious and comfortable. The highlight is the private washrooms (toilet, sink and shower) providing a moment of relaxation and unwinding during one’s travel journey. The hostel is located within walking distance of Stari Bar (old town Bar with a fortress) and in the opposite direction, a 20 minute walk to the waterfront and palm tree lined promenade. Better yet, plan a day trip from the hostel! Skadar National Park (Virpazar, Skadar Lake) is 40 minutes away by train or bus, Budva and Ulcinj are under 60 minutes away by bus or car (30 km), while Kotor is ~2 hours away (45 km). There are many grocery stores, cafes and restaurants within walking distance of the property.
