The caffe has been opened since 1983 under the nape "Opium", as one of the first coffee bars in the Montenegro. The city municipality did now allow the name "Opium" because the thought, that the name had a bad influence on the youth of the city. For this reason, the name of the caffe bar was changed first to "Cobra" then to "Sulzer" as the name of popular engine producer for ships. Caffe bar "Sulzer" was the most popular caffe bar in Kotor, wee known for the best cappucino and espresso coffe. It was visited by many famous actors, musicians, athletes and, of course local people. To this days, Sulzer has retained the same appereance as when it was opened. The 40 year long tradition will continue for a long time.
