BoerenBed Landgoed Volenbeek
About
The beautiful thatched farmhouse of Landgoed Volenbeek is located in the Veluwe forests and is over 150 years old. As part of the historic Volenbeek estate it is a protected monument, but it is still in operation as dairy farm. This farm is owned by the Rozendaal family: Wouter and Thea and their three children Wouter the 5th, Celine and Richelle. To get here, you will need to leave the main road and travel on a dirt track into the heart of the woods. As is common in this area of the Netherlands, the estate is named after a small stream (the Dutch beek) which flows through the area. The farm is home to a 50 dairy cow herd and Wouter is also responsible for the upkeep of the estate. There are many small farm animals in the separate shed, where children can spend hours getting to know the animals, for example, the alpaca named Speech and of course they can look for fresh eggs.
