Aalsmeer Cruises offers cruise trips through the Aalsmeer waterways in an original Dutch aluminium barge called a ‘’bok’’ The Aalsmeer waterways comprise a serie of small canals connected by a large ring canal. The land between the canals contains polders which are surrounded by typical Dutch dikes. The Aalsmeer Cruise will take you through the network of waterways and will explain how the area has developed and evolved over the years. Today, the area comprises a unique natural environment together with lilac growers who supply the Aalsmeer flower auctions. The flowers are exported throughout the world. The Aalsmeer Cruise bok is larger than the traditional Aalsmeer barge and has covered seating with a capacity for 48 passengers It is als possible to combine a cruise with lunch, diner or coffee and cakes at the Grand Café ‘’Restaurant Centennial’’
