The tour is led by Michelle Steele, originally from Newcastle, England and now resident in Amsterdam. Michelle has an Honours degree in Modern History from Sheffield University. During the course of the walk through the canal ring of Amsterdam an examination will be made of the Nazi occupation of the city - and the reaction of the population to it. The walk takes place each Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 1pm departing from the Seeamsterdam (Boathouse) shop on the corner of Prinsengracht and Leliegracht.
