One of Holland's largest independent bookstores with a large stock not only in the literary field, but also in various academic fields, such as (classical and modern) languages, the humanities and the social sciences. About 40% of our stock is self-imported. We carry a wide array of English, French, German, Spanish and Italian literature. We also sell books on art, architecture, photography, fashion, design, urban culture and science. Other than that Athenaeum Boekhandel & Nieuwscentrum stocks an exhaustive amount of (inter)national magazines of various genres such as design, fashion, interior and culinary, zines and indie publishing.
