Get the real Amsterdam story. Badass Tours creates small-group walking tours, boat tours and storytelling events that introduce you to history’s hidden badasses, Amsterdammers who broke the rules and built the city. Meet the BIPOC, female, Jewish, and LGBTQ+ Amsterdammers who helped create the city, in ways large and small. Their histories were researched in specialized archives across the country. These stories were then developed by an award-winning NYC director working with trained storytellers and are shared through walking tours, boat tours and special events. The current small-group tours are the Women’s History Tour, LGBTQ+ History Tour, Jewish History Tour, and Hidden Gems Tour. Private tours are tailored to preferred themes and areas of interest. The DIY Tour is a self-guided digital tour. Users follow their own interests through Amsterdam’s BIPOC, LGBTQ+, Jewish, and/or women’s history.
