The 'Bloemenmarkt', or the flower and plants market, is a permanent market in Amsterdam city centre. The market stalls are located on ships in the canal. This goes back to the times when all flowers and plants on this market were still shipped over the water from outside the city. Over the past decades, the flower market became more and more of a tourist attraction, which has led to a change in the products on offer. For instance, you can now also buy a lot of flower bulbs and souvenirs there. Also perfect for cheese souvenirs is the Cheese gift shop Cheese & More by Henri Willig.
