Lion Noir
About
Lion Noir, once a vibrant hub of French‑style dining and spirited conversations, has officially closed its doors. The famed Dutch restaurant, located on Reguliersdwarsstraat 28 in Amsterdam, celebrated fourteen memorable years of unforgettable meals, creative cocktails, and an atmosphere that felt like a family gathering. Over its existence, guests relished generous portions, creative menus, many dietary options including vegetarian and vegan dishes, and a menu that was frequently updated by head chefs such as Edo, Sammy, and Ron. The final curtain call took place on 22 February during a grand farewell party where owners and staff reflected on the camaraderie, the love for wine, and the lasting impact the venue had on the city. While the doors are now closed, the restaurant no longer welcomes visitors, so visiting hours are not applicable. Nonetheless, the legacy of a “magical” experience surrounded by music, laughter, and great food remains etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate to dine there.
