Travel Electric provides high-end taxi services in Amsterdam. We provide Schiphol transfers to and from Amsterdam city centre, with a fleet of electric vehicles (Tesla Model X, S, and 3's. Also Kia e-Niro or a Nissan Leaf). Founded in 2011 by Ruud Zandvliet and Edvard Hendriksen, Taxi Electric was a leader in sustainability by being the first taxi company in the world to opt for 100% electric driving. And not Teslas with a range of 500 kilometers or more, but Nissan Leafs that had to recharge after 80 kilometers. The passion and ideals of the founders were clean air in Amsterdam, courteous service, and a second chance for unemployed people over 50. “Change the system” was their mission.
