Tucked away in a forgotten corner of the Netherlands lies the 400-year-old thatched farmhouse of Het Wesselink in the beautiful scenic landscape of Salland. The farm lies between the National Park De Hoge Veluwe and National Park de Sallandse Heuvelrug. The area consists of stunning views, forests and beautiful nature reserves. Het Wesselink is a mixed farm with 40 hectares of land of which 20 are pasture supporting 60 dairy cows. Sugar beet, corn, and potatoes are grown on the remaining land. The accommodations are situated on the edge of the forest area with a view over the meadows where the cows are grazing daily. At the crack of dawn, the cows will make place for the roe deer, which you’ll most likely spot a few times during your glamping stay. he forest behind the accommodations is the perfect place for walking, den-building, climbing the trees (be careful not to fall out!), bird spotting and to see rabbits running about. Let’s not forget the giant swing!
