Surrounded by the forest, sandy paths and a beautiful landscape you will find De Lange Weide. De Lange Weide lies next to the beautiful 3500-acre Dwingelderveld National Park, one of the largest areas of heathland in Europe. In addition to this, another area of natural beauty, the Leggelerveld, with its famous blue lake which is ideal for swimming in summer, is also just a short cycle ride away. Farmer Marian is very fond of animals. In the recent years, she has collected quite a few that now call the farm their home. She also makes sure to take care of the weaker animals and make sure they have their place. You can find donkeys, turkeys, goats, a pig, piglets and many cats and rabbits to cuddle with at De Lange Weide. During spring (around Easter) you’ll be able to bottle-feed the lambs! The farm also has four horses, two big pony’s and two small pony’s that each have their own place in the meadow.
