About us In 2001, Eethuis Maxum established itself in the heart of Leiden, on the animal market. Gradually, the takeaway eatery grew into a household name – the place to enjoy Asian and Caribbean food. In 2005 Maxum moved to Leiden-Merenwijk, the residential area where Kawoh was also born. Toko Maxum was set up here together with Haizhen. In 2018, we set up our Roti World brand. Roti rolls, meals and yellow sambal that are delivered to various tokos and (Asian) supermarkets. From summer 2020, Toko Maxum will move to a larger building (the building of the bicycle repair shop on the corner). Asian and Caribbean specialties, tasty and affordable Our dishes stem from our passion for good food. We cook what we like very much. Our kitchen has influences from Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, India, Suriname and the Netherlands Antilles. This is reflected in the wide choice and variety on the Toko Maxum menu.
