About

On the former Zuiderzee island of Wieringen, near the Wadden Sea, stands the Wieringer Island Museum, which was once the farm of Jan Lont, the founder of the museum. The museum introduces you to the culture of the Wieringers in earlier times: how they lived, worked, and resided on the island. In collaboration with other organizations, we offer enjoyable packages that include walking, cycling, sailing, or driving, along with a visit to the museum, guided by one of our many volunteers. Such a package provides a wonderful opportunity to discover the former island of Wieringen in its entirety.
