Museum De Kolonie is an archaeological museum with as subject the prehistory of Lommel in particular and of the Kempen in general. The museum uses authentic objects from rich collections to tell about the (evolution of) human behavior and about his spiritual life during the last 12,000 years before our era. The periods of the Stone Age hunter-gatherers are particularly well represented.
