Het Rozenknopje is one of the oldest bars in Eindhoven, established in 1897. It’s a classy and unique cafe where elements of the old typical Dutch brown cafe are mixed with more modern influences. You’ll find yourself drinking, talking and eating with all different kinds of people, regardless background, gender or whatever. This has been a key value since ’t de Rozenknop opened up; it’s a living room for everyone, no matter who you are. That’s why entering the place sometimes gives you the feeling you’re stepping into a painting or a play with so many different unique characters. Besides the ground floor cafe and dining place, there is a nostalgic upstairs room that’s used for concerts, lectures and parties. Almost every day there’s live music, in the upstairs room or on the little stage downstairs and during the weekends DJ’s their vinyl records downstairs in the cafe. Our kitchen can be described as European. If you expect the typical pub food, you’re wrong (guess again). Our 2 chefs prepare their food daily fresh, with mostly local ingredients to give you a restaurant quality in an inspiring ambiance. Feel free to drop by and be part of the entourage for one night!
