If you like an unconventional stay then "De oude nadorst" may be something for you! At "de oude nadorst" you stay on an old traditional and monumental farm right outside the city of Groningen. Groningen can be reached by bike in only 15 minutes. There also is a busstop at 5 minutes walk from the farmhouse. The spacious, rustic and relaxing room has two traditional beds in cupboards. There is a comfy lounge area to sit in the evening, or if the weather is bad. There are coffee (illy espresso machine) and tea facilities. You can enjoy the large garden and look around in the barn where there are animals to pet. The room sleeps 4 people but it is possible to sleep with up to 6 people at "de oude nadorst". In the garden there is a gypsy caravan that sleeps 2. It is not big but very cosy and romantic. In the old farmhouse there also is a nice center where handicapped people work during the day. They are willing to show you around the farm and the animals and help carrying your luggage! De Oude Nadorst is situated in the oldest cultural landscape of Europe: de Koningslaagte. There are several hiking and bike tracks in this area. If you are looking for a soothing and quiet retreat and a city trip at once: this could be an excellent choice for you!
