Having started out thirty years ago as a natural outdoor swimming lake, BillyBird Park Hemelrijk has since developed to become a recreational park for young and old. Children can enjoy the enormous ‘Zeeroversland’ (Pirate Land) indoor playground throughout the year, but the amusement park also has a roller coaster, a ropeway course , the ‘Hemelaya’ climbing hill, a lovely big recreational lake, a football pitch, a specially fenced-off children’s pool, ‘Kinderland’ outdoor playground, a children’s fairground, traffic park, puppet theatre and sand martin wall. The Beach Bar and the unique Party Island floating lounge area are specially for parents and adults. Maybe there’s too much to take in if this previous visitor is to be believed: “One day is really too short if you want to discover everything!!!”. BBQ and picnic packs You can round off a fantastic day in and around the water during the summer months with a delicious and relaxing BBQ. The park has a special barbecue area, fully equipped with Weber BBQs. You can choose from a number of ready-made barbecue packs. And if you prefer a picnic you can sit down anywhere you want with a picnic pack. Inexpensive A Hemelrijk pass gives you numerous advantages, including 50% discount at various associated parks in Brabant, such as De Groene Poort in Boxtel, the largest geological museum in the Netherlands. But also the Oliemeulen zoo in Tilburg, BestZoo, ZooParc Overloon and the water recreation park Bosbad in Hoeven can be visited for just half of the normal entry price. 365 days a year The Zeeroversland indoor playground has an area for toddlers and a colourful sea of balls, and you’ll find slides, bouncy castles, climbing frames and a space where you can make your own creations in the pirate cage. There is also plenty of fun at BillyBird Park Hemelrijk when the weather is bad. The park is open all year. And if you can’t take a whole day off to enjoy a great day out with your family, eight workstations have been installed on the Zeeroversland terrace, all with free WiFi of course.
