Overloon War Museum
About
The Overloon War Museum, situated in the village of Overloon in North Brabant, is the largest World War II museum in the Netherlands and one of the biggest in Europe. It brings the dramatic history of the Battle of Overloon in 1944 to life alongside the wider story of the war in the Low Countries. Visitors wander through its 13,000‑square‑meter indoor galleries and expansive 14‑hectare outdoor park, encountering authentic military vehicles, aircraft, tanks and artillery—many of which saw action on the historic battlefield. The museum’s dynamic "D‑DEX" interactive experience transports guests to the D‑Day landings, while the dedicated Lancaster pavilion showcases a soaring aircraft. A child‑friendly "Kidsproof" area makes history engaging for younger visitors, and the Museum Café offers a relaxed setting to enjoy local specialties and reflect on the visit.
