Guide yourself around through our (free) video tour! Van Buren Bolsward is the only sheepskin tannery in the Netherlands. We have been doing this since 1861! Generation to generation, the knowledge of tanning and trading is passed on and the new generation provides renewals and innovations. We produce sheepskins, wool and leather products with an eye for quality, animals and the environment. The demand for quality knows no zeitgeist and ensures that we still make these products to this day. A capital of knowledge and experience of more than 150 years comes together in an exceptional family business. We’re proud of that! Come by and see up close what the artisanal profession of tanning looks like. The smell of leather, the old wooden tanning barrels, the comb- stol and bügel machines: it's all there. All this together in the old renovated warehouse at a unique location along the Elfstedentocht water, makes Van Buren the perfect place for a unique experience. Come by and experience!
