About

et Panorama Walcheren surprises the visitor with a unique art project of nine mega paintings, up to 3 meters high and from fourteen to forty meters wide. Each arranged in a curve, so that it feels itself to become part of the image. These are characteristic Walcheren places, each with its own atmosphere and season. In the old machine factory of shipyard De Schelde, now a dynamic Vlissingen development area, the works come into their own. They have been made since 2010 by the Middelburg painter Jo Dumon Tak with a team of volunteers. One work every year. The Amsterdam painter Robert Vorstman is now working on the tenth canvas in his studio: The summer beach at Dishoek, under Zoutelande. Look behind the scenes and see how such a panorama is created.
