De Vilt en Ons Erf group accommodation was given the Group Accommodation of the Year award by RECRON: the organisation representing the recreational sector in the Netherlands in 2014 and again in 2016. This five star group accommodation is located in the beautifully tranquil surroundings of the Natuurparel De Vilt (De Vilt Nature Gem) and just a stone’s throw from the unique Maasheggen area. The child-friendly accommodation offers everything you could imagine. Or as a previously enthusiastic guest commented: “Our stay at De Vilt was super! A great welcome, great accommodation, beautiful grounds with an outdoor patio, wonderful countryside! We’d love to come back!!” Accommodation and activities The accommodation has a dining and sitting area, a fully equipped kitchen, good toilet facilities and a large playing field. The accommodation at De Vilt includes a private shower in each bedroom and is completely threshold-free. One of the five bedrooms has toilet facilities adapted for the disabled. It’s no wonder that this accommodation has a five star classification. The accommodation at Ons Erf has a special play corner for children. You can have a great game of football or basketball on the fenced-off playing field or use the climbing frame, sandpit, birds nest swing, giant chess/draughts set or table tennis. Children can also enjoy themselves in the animal paddock where donkeys, ponies, pot-bellied pigs, chicken and alpacas wander around. And if all that’s not enough, the extremely friendly owners offer countless activities, some of them in association with local businesses. From ‘decorate an owl’ to a boot camp, from piggy-back racing to a pub quiz, you can’t imagine anything so ridiculous. Surroundings Located just six minutes by car from the A73 and A77 motorways, the surprisingly peaceful surroundings are perfect for cyclists and walkers. The Natuurparel De Vilt has ponds, swaying reeds and birdsong. Or you can walk through the unique Maasheggen area, quite possibly the oldest landscape in the Netherlands.
