About

The Van 't Lindenhoutmuseum is currently temporarily closed. The museum will reopen after the summer of 2024. File requests for the archive will remain possible during the renovation. The museum remains reachable by e-mail and telephone. The Van 't Lindenhoutmuseum brings to life the history of 20,000 children who have lived at the Neerbosch children's village over the past 150 years. From the mid-19th century, orphans from all over the Netherlands were cared for in the 'Orphanage Neerbosch', the largest private, self-sufficient children's village in the Netherlands. The museum is housed in the former Weezenkapel (1882), a national monument, built for and by the orphan boys. In addition to the permanent collection, there are temporary exhibitions.
