Herberg de Vliegende Vos (The Flying Fox Inn) is the birthplace of the famous Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer. When he was born in 1632 his parents ran de Flying Fox Inn. The Inn has been fully rebuild this year. The Flying Fox Inn is situated in de middle of the historic city at one of the most beuatiful canals with all museums, historic sites and points of interest within walking distance.
